Phil Lee

While Phil Lee has been known to occasionally live and travel with a pack of Northern Monkeys, he is himself a Southern Monkey, distinguishable by his lighter pelt (suitable for the warmer climate he lives in) and his primary diet, which consists of barbeque and sweet tea. Phil instead spends much of his time with the Carolina Otaku Uprising and only ventures up to the Monkeylair when it's necessary to pay homage to Faye.

Phil, Jeff and David did battle in NYC during MonkeyFest 2003. Here's the photographic evidence of their sacred mission. Phil and Jeff standing on the corner of Joey Ramone Place, David at JRP, the JRP sign itself, and CBGB.

Here is a collection of random doijinshi scans.

PhilCon 2002 was a blast. So was PhilCon 2003. Mark your calendars for July 13-19 for PhilCon 2004. Flyer 1. Flyer 2. Flyer 3. Flyer 4. Flyer 5. Flyer 6. Flyer 7.

Want to watch me suffer? Come to Animazement.

Okay, so I did manage to get at least one good thing out of Animazement 2002: here's a sketch of Layla from Black Heaven by the character designer.

WXDU kicks your ass all over Durham. Tune in to WXDU-Durham 88.7 every Monday morning from 7-9am to listen to whatever weirdness I happen to be spewing out at the moment. And, yes, you can listen to the station online.

I'm giving in to the urge to put up a random link of something I found amusing: the need for Earth to have an image makeover.

MP3 blogs are a wonderful thing. My first exposure to such a thing was PopNose; since then I've started love affairs with The Tofu Hut, Fluxblog, and gabba/POD,. And, it just keeps going with Bubblegum Machine, Said the Gramophone, Teaching The Indie Kids To Dance Again (a sentiment I can definately get behind), The Mystical Beast, Fruits of Chaos (fangirls ahoy!), and So This Is Love...in Spanish! AltaViasta's Audio Search is a useful tool. To quote: "Share and enjoy!"

Finally, read Teresa Nielsen-Hayden's blog Making Light. She's just so damn cool. For example, check out her posts on Mary Sue or the infrastructure of New York City.
